A really fancy dinner

We've been wanting to invite Michelle and Franco for dinner for a while. We met her when we were moving to San Diego - she helped us to find this condo - and we've been wanting to thank her. She a very fun real estate agent, very much at home in California - and she's married to Franco, an Italian lawyer who's very much into food, wine and music.

I took it as a cooking/entertaining challenge and spent the week testing recipes, preparing ingredients and making a winning playlist - and everything worked very well. We had a very pleasant evening with them, that started with those little canapes and ended with chocolate mousse served in a chocolate cup (I made it myself) and topped with rasberries and cocoa powder.

I'm starting to look for a job and really don't know much where to shoot - I've been doing all the online stuff, but we don't know anyone around this area, so I'm a little lost. Michelle was very sweet and gave me a couple of contacts of people with whom I can talk to.

It was easy to take the picture

Difficult was to get to the almost 7 thousand feet of Cuyamaca Peak, the second higher in San Diego County. I would never have gone if I knew.

And my legs will still hurt for a day or two...
