Stuck in Washington for the day

Seems like this is the story of my life. Last week I spent 11 hours stuck in Mexico City's airport (don't ask) and today I'm spending almost 9 in Washington Dulles. My flight got in in the middle of a customs mess and, as they were revising everyone's suitcases for some sort of agricultural threat, the lines were huge and I missed my 8am connection.
